WWI Officers Field tea and tiffin set including paraffin burner and kettle.

We are delighted to offer this very rare and unique piece of history from WWI. The set would have been used by an officer to allow them to make tea and have cook food in the battle field. A recent article reveals how officers believed that the campaign would enable them to have tea and cakes before the real horrors of the war became the reality. Prices for similar items in wicker baskets have sold at auction for £300 / £400 + in 2018. So we are asking a very reasonable price.

The set is in a leather case with straps. The case shows signs of wear so please examine the photos well. We have only give the case a light condition with leather conditioner. We have deliberately not cleaned the items so they retain their natural patina and we wanted to keep their authenticity. The set seems complete but there may be some items that have perished or are not present. Everything in the photos are what’s included.

Condition: As stated above the condition is used and deliberately not cleaned to a fine polish. We have just conditioned the leather. The leather has some cracks in places so please examine. The lock on the front has no key so we have not closed the latch. The set seems intact but there could be items missing. All the items included are detailed above. This is an item over 110 years old so it’s not perfect.
