Biography

Whitney Chadwick is an art historian and the author of the critically acclaimed Women, Art, and Society. Her other books include Women Artists and the Surrealist Movement, the first full-length study of the women of surrealism, and the crime novel Framed. She is the co-editor of Significant Others: Creativity and Intimate Partnership and The Modern Woman Revisited: Paris Between the Wars, as well as a frequent contributor to exhibition catalogs and books on contemporary art.
